The Open Door Centre LogoThe Open Door Centre is a fantastic mental health service for young people.  It is managed and run by young people who experience of mental health difficulties.  It is a very friendly and welcoming place.

For the past year we have worked together exploring poetry and prose from different writers and genres taking inspiration for their writing their own short stories and poems.

The group particularly enjoyed the sessions we had on writing for children.  Many a children's book was read in the name of our art!

We are developing the idea of a blog from the Open Door Writers with an opportunity for them to share their very imaginative and creative work.

In the meantime below are couple of pictures of the group hard at work.

Pub Crawler Writing Group wishes everyone a Happy and Productive New Year.  Join us for our first meet up of 2018.

'Pub Crawler' is a writing group for beginners.  If you have ever thought you would like to write but never get around to it, come along, join in, make friends, and be inspired.  We meet at a different pub each week picking up new members as we go!  Dropping in and out is ok with us, bring a pen and paper and join in the writing activities.  We do welcome experienced writers if you are happy to join in too.  Due to personal commitments of group members it has been decided that 'Pub Crawler' will now meet once a month on the last Thursday of each month.  In between meet ups we have a messenger group where work and activities can be shared.

Our first meeting of 2018 will be held on 25th January 7.30pm at The Stork Hotel, 41 Price Street, Birkenhead CH41 6JN.

Look for the happy people with pens and paper
